Donna Carter

by Michelle from Brunswick

A hero has many characteristic qualities. Having a good personality, loyalty, courage, strength, and being a christian are I think the most important characteristics a hero can have.

My hero is one of my youth directors from church, Donna Carter. She is 31, married, and has two beautiful children. The most important thing that she has done to be my hero is she has lived a life for christ and has gone on to teach others about him. I first met Mrs. Donna at Pine Haven Baptist Church, where she has still managed to go all of these years. Possessing not only the characteristics that I consider to be a hero, she is also a great person to confide in.

Each year I have grown to learn more about her and have the utmost respect for her. I remember when my mother had to have surgery that was pretty serious and Mrs. Donna's father was in the hospital, and she was so thoughtful to send me a card that said she had missed me. She probably will never know just how much she means to me but I will make sure that everybody knows what a caring and loving soul exists in that body. It takes somebody real special to be a hero, and to me my hero is Mrs. Donna Carter.
