Not giving up is good because the hero will be a hero forever. Both together is better because the hero will get even more done! Dr. Seuss made people happy and worked hard. That is good because in 1950 people hated children’s books. So Dr. Seuss made ones that people liked. He even wrote a book for adults. He also talked about important things like caring for all. This is why he is a hero.

Theodor Seuss Geisel was born on March 2, 1904 in Springfield, Massachusetts. His father owned a beer factory. One day a law appeared that made alcohol illegal. His family went poor so they moved to Germany for 5 years.  Later when he was grown up in 1936 he and his wife boarded a ship to Europe. He was annoyed by the ship’s engine sounds so he wrote a children’s book called To Think That I Saw It On Mulberry Street. In Europe, Seuss came up with ideas for more books with his wife. In 1957 he wrote The Cat In The Hat. He became famous. He wrote about 70 more books. When he wrote his last book he was 87 years old. He died on September 24, 1991.

Dr. Seuss’s greatest accomplishment was when he wrote the Cat In The Hat. He became famous and sold many copies. It changed the way people wrote children’s books. One challenge Dr.Seuss faced is that he was very poor. He had to rent a cheap rat-infested apartment. He had this problem until he wrote The Cat In The Hat.

Dr. Seuss was happy, creative, and hardworking. He talked about caring for people and overcame his problems. He didn’t give up. He also made the reader happy. This is why he is a hero.
