Mohandas K. Gandhi

Gandhi dedicated his life to the people of India by trying to help them in there struggle for independence. Gandhi helped the native people of India by taking away the British Governments power. He also tried to bring equality in all the castes of India.
Gandhi demonstrated for the people of India and impressed the people because he fought for change nonviolently. He also went to prison, sometimes on purpose to get the government of England to listen, and he fasted to make a political statement, going without foodfor a long time, the longest twenty-one days.
