Teachers Room

The impact of the Max Factor Family grant for MY HERO has been significant in helping reshape our our educational resources and lesson plans shared with educators around the world on our website. The Teachers Room resources were redesigned. Resources are now organized by grade level and subjects to facilitate integration with the curriculum of schools. In addition, there are resources developed around themes such as Human Rights, Environmental Education, Character Education and Sustainable Development Goals.

UCLA Teacher Training Conference at Center X

MY HERO Editor Shannon Luders-Manuel and Educational Consultant Jamie Gravell manned an information table at the UCLA teacher-training conference "With Different Eyes." The annual conference, provided through the university's hands-on teacher training program, Center X, is for "teachers of diverse English learners across the disciplines." Attendees were given information on MY HERO and how MY HERO can support them in the classroom through our grant from The Max Factor Family Foundation .
