Martin Luther King Jr. is my hero because he stopped racism and if he hadn’t I wouldn’t have black friends. Martin Luther King Jr. was brave and helping and he had integrity.

Martin Luther King Jr. was brave because he wasn’t afraid of what people might do to him. He was also brave because he changed something that he knew he could do and he did what he did without violence. Even though people threw rocks at him and bombed his house he still stood strong changing what most people thought was impossible. He tried to stop racism and did a good job. He wanted life to be fair for African Americans and so everyone could live in harmony.

Martin Luther King Jr. helped many African Americans by making life fair for them because the Americans where treating them poorly and he did not believe that was right. He also helped white Americans by helping the whites and blacks make peace and live in harmony. The famous speech “I Have A Dream” inspired and helped thousands if not millions of people. He also encouraged many Africans to stand out and make a difference.

He had integrity because he tried to make a difference without violence. He was a minister and believed Jesus told him to be a peacemaker and he did so that's why he tried to make peace between the whites and the blacks without violence.

The quote above helps me understand why working to make things fair for others is important to me.
