My hero made my life completely distinct from others in society. He gave all of his attention to me, he took me places and he showed me so many memorable things, teaching me along the way. He showed me that life isn't limited and that I have an alternate dream of my own and that I can believe in it as much as I want.
"If you're going to live your life in a bad choice of mind, then there is no point to be living a good life if you do not cherish it." ~ Richard Landie
My hero raised me completely distinct from other people in society. He gave all of his attention to me, he took me places and he taught me so many memorable things, molding the thought in my mind that my life isn't limited. He showed me the alternate life that I had and that I can be whoever I want to and can go anywhere in the world to prove it.
My hero is my grandfather, and he never limited his life to one dream. He had his bucket list of wishes and he made it seem as if he completed it throughout his whole life. He showed my family so much love, and cared even for the sick on the streets. He took me places that he'd never been to and gave me things he would have never had.
His wife, Karen, can still remember the most amazing moments with me and him. One year when I was little, he took us to Siesta Key Beach in Florida, and he had his favorite double-dip ice cream cone of Pistachio Mint and Butter Pecan, and his home-made salad with his favorite vegetable in it, tomatoes.
A moment he cherished in his life was when we were in Hawaii heading back home to Kansas City, and he stopped just so I could take this picture, and it inspired me along the way. The places he loved were filled with the seashores amongst soft wind with vibrant feelings of warmth along with the crisp, cool sand.
