The Tulip Singing Tree
by 800 people in McKees Rocks, PA, under the guidance of artist Laurie Marshall
Painting
In 1999, 8 year-old Meredith Miller of rural Virginia, USA said "What if the whole world made a painting together?" Artist Laurie Marshall was so inspired by this vision that she has joined Meredith to invite the world to make a painting. Ten years later, this is the 6th of 10 Singing Trees made by over 8000 people from 15 countries. The theme of this Singing Tree is "How can you cope with your pain without hurting your body or breaking the law?" Meredith's vision of the human race working together on one thing is heroic for these fractured times.
