World Storytelling Day celebrates the art of oral storytelling from all over the world.
The holiday began in 1991 in Sweden as "All Storytellers Day" and grew to become a "global campfire" of people who listen to and tell as many stories as possible, in as many languages as possible to connect with and learn from each other.
