CALL FOR ENTRIES – 2015 MY HERO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
SANTA MONICA, CA – 4/2/15 – The MY HERO International Film Festival is an uplifting celebration of films, filmmakers and the heroes who connect and inspire humanity. This year, on November 14, 2015, the festival is enjoying its 11th year of showcasing the best short films from around the world.
There are categories for filmmakers of all ages and abilities in genres that include: Narrative, Documentary Music Video, Experimental, Animation, Trailer, Excerpts, Indy Features in Development and PSA.
Filmmakers of all levels are encouraged to submit their work. Submissions must be no longer than 10 minutes in length, including trailers and excerpts of longer pieces. Films need to be uplifting and appropriate for children and can not promote hatred, violence or racism.
All accepted films are eligible for awards and prizes:
The deadline for submission is June 1, 2015, with late and extended deadlines are July 1 and August 1, 2015. Submission fees are $55, $60 and $65, respectively.
The festival is part of The MY HERO Project, a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to sharing stories of heroes around the globe. MY HERO's award winning web site (www.myhero.com) hosts the world's largest archive of hero themed stories, music, art and short films.
