Ashton Irwin

Ashton Irwin is a 20 year old drummer from the band 5 Seconds of Summer. He is from Sydney, Australia. Ashton joined the band in December of 2011.He has been drumming since the age of when his Mom's boyfriend taught him how to play. Ashton has been interested in music since a young age.

When Ashton was young his dad left his family. Ashton raised his younger sister and younger brother. When Ashton was in his teenage years, he suffered from a self harm addiction. Once he joined the band he realized that there are so many people that struggle with self harm, and he decided to stop for the fans. He felt he owed them that. Now Ashton goes out of the way to make fans happy. He even draws butterflies on fan's wrists. Ashton is my hero because not only has he saved me. He's saved so many other people.
