His parents steered him in the right direction, teaching him the importance of hard work. Since he was a gifted student, his parents paid for him to go to the best schools. They encouraged him in his career. Today, Gates strongly believes in dedication to work, just as his parents taught him. He believes that if people use their intelligence, try their hardest and make the right choices, they can achieve anything. This way of thinking has brought him a long way. It has helped him attain the success that he has today.

Gates loves his job and loves helping others to be able to enjoy and utilize Microsoft products to the fullest.

As the richest man in the world, Gates has had the opportunity and the strong desire to help people around the world. He has become one of the most famous philanthropists, dedicating much time and money to helping poor people and unfortunate children to have a better life. Gates believes that every young person in America deserves the right to go to school and to college. This is why he helps more than 27,000 people to get to school and provides scholarships for them. He has also donated thousands of computers to schools that can´t afford them.

He donates medical equipment and medication, that can help prevent a disease before it develops; one of these diseases is malaria, a common deadly disease in poor countries. Not only does he help cure and prevent diseases, but he also buys buildings and has them transformed into hospitals. Another very important thing that he does, is, funding medical research that is a great benefit to society.
