Bear Grylls

A hero to me is someone who is courageous, brave and inspires others to follow their dreams. That's why my hero is Bear Grylls.

Bear Grylls was born on the 7th of June 1974, he is 37 years of age. Bear is a nickname given to him by his sister. Edward Michael Grylls is his full name. Bear owns a house in Northeast England. Bear Grylls was educated at Eaton House, Ludgrove School and Eton College.

Bear received a black belt in Karate at the age of sixteen. At the age of 28 he climbed Mt Everest, returning almost 10 years later to fly the first powered paraglider above the summit of Everest. He is also a Chief scout and joined the SAS.

I think Bear Grylls is a hero because he shares his survival knowledge and inspires kids like me to do their best.

Bear Grylls now hosts his own TV show Man v's Wild, teaching you how to survive in the toughest environments when worst comes to worst. That's why he is my hero.
