Hi my name is Erin! My hero is Balto. If it wasn’t for Balto, Alaska would be full of sickness. Balto brought medicine to Nome for a terrible disease that killed over one hundred people in Nome. Balto was supposed to stop but he kept on going. Balto was very cold but he didn’t stop. He kept on going and he survived the cold. But Balto died in 2004. They built a statue of Balto in New York, New York. Balto also died there too. All in all, you can see why Balto is my hero.
