Bryan Patrick Lynk

Bryan Lynk was born August 29th, 1986. He and his twin brother, Brenden were both born with cystic fibrosis. Brenden passed away when they were 4. Since then, Bryan learned to live his life to the fullest. He always had a smile on his face and was always there for anyone. Bryan passed away October 10th, 2003 when he was 17. I met Bryan in the summer of '03. I thought he was an awesome person, and I knew I would look up to him from the first time I talked to him. Bryan was in a band, West Avenue; he was lead singer and 2nd guitar. He wrote all of the songs that the band performed. Bryan was an awesome person, the second you looked at him he'd give his little smile and all your problems just seemed to float away.

Bryan was very strong. He lived his whole life with cystic fibrosis. Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disease that affects the respiratory and digestive system. Bryan was also very strong becuase he lived on and kept his chin high after his twin brother died. He coped with his brother's death by writing songs.

Bryan was extremely brave because he was always smiling and he was always positive even though he knew he was dying and he couldn't live a normal life due to cystic fibrosis. Bryan was brave becuase he lived his life to the fullest no matter what anyone said. He stood up for himself and his friends, and everyone admired him for that.

Bryan wrote a lot of music. He turned his feelings into songs. He wasn't afraid to let people know how he felt. This is proof of confidence. He was always confident in himself, he wasn't afraid to let someone get to know him. He was happy with the person he was.

I chose Bryan Patrick Lynk as my hero because I know he touched the lives of many, including mine. He was an amazing person. I know that he is happy now, shining down on us, singing and playing his guitar up in heaven.
