Margaret Hilda Thatcher, British politician and the only woman who became prime minister. She was born in Grantham, England, 13th October 1925. She studied at Oxford, at the Faculty of Chemistry. Margaret mother of two children, but because of her work, she paid little attention to her children. From childhood she was hardworking, many people were amazed at her desire to work. After a while, when she became the prime minister, journalists called her an Iron Lady, because she was direct, outspoken and manly. She accomplished her work because she was strong and combat.
I think the best of what she has done is that Margaret equalized the rights of women with men. Before her arrival in politics, women were not valued. Until she became Prime Minister, women in parliament almost did not work. I think it was not fair, women have the same rights as men. Fortunately Margaret corrected this error, when she was prime minister, women have doubled in the parliament. But she had many enemies, who thought that women are weak, but they could not prevent. Because of the policies of Margaret, men stopped humiliating women. Now women politicians are successfully doing their job!!!
Margaret Thatcher abolished the law on free milk. Margaret did it because she hated when people were lazy and did not work. She wanted to stop the unemployment in Britain. Many people were unhappy with this law. Because of Margaret Thatcher, Britain was able to avoid jobless crisis.
Margaret has done a lot for her country. When I read her biography, I realized that she was one of the best politicians in the world. But i realized that she paid little attention to her family too: her husband and two children. Because of her dedication to work, she lost her femininity, and the time that she could spend with her family.
Because of Margaret, Britain is one of the best countries in the world.
