Babe Ruth

My hero is Babe Ruth. Babe Ruth was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1895. He is my hero because I love baseball, he broke many records in baseball, and was a good person. One of his accomplishments was signing with the Yankees. This is such an incredible accomplishment because it is very hard to play with the Yankees. They were an incredibly talented team when Babe Ruth played with them, and still are to this day.

Another accomplishment of Babe Ruth was that he broke a record for the most homeruns in one season twelve times. Babe Ruth also broke the record of 61 homeruns in one season, but in the end Lou Gherig broke Babe’s record with 62 homeruns. Another reason why I admire Babe Ruth is because he was a good person. Besides being a phenomenal athlete Babe Ruth was a warm hearted person and didn’t think anything less of anybody just because he was on the Yankees, for this I respect him. Babe Ruth was honored for being one of the best baseball players in history, but I also honor him for one of the kindest.
