Whenever I think of the word “Hero” I think of someone helping out another person and giving money to poor people. This definition relates to my hero because she went to visit people with AIDS, and she was not afraid of getting sick. Whenever she went to go give the sick people a hug and a kiss she believed that she would not get AIDS. My Hero would always donate money to foster children so they could buy clothes to keep them warm and provided them with other means of survival.

My hero is Princess Diana of Wales. Princess Diana is one of the world’s best known princesses. In her life, she accomplished many great things. She grew up a privileged daughter of a Lord. She married Prince Charles of Wales and become a "savior" to many people. She was referred to as a savior because she did many things to help those who were less fortunate than herself before she died a tragic death in 1997.

Princess Diana did so much to help others. First, Diana became a princess. She was called the people's princess because she could relate to ordinary people. It is not common for royalty to care so much about everyday people. Diana always cared. When AIDS became widespread Diana was not afraid to care for the patients. Others were afraid to catch the disease while Diana was at their bedside caring and nurturing them. She had many charities that she supported wholeheartedly. In all the charities she visited the sick and helped the underprivileged. Royalty usually gave speeches, raised money, and helped the sick and poor, but Diana visited them, hugged them, and let them know that she cared. Since she was a kindergarten teacher, she especially cared for children.

Princess Diana is a hero near and far. Although she was Princess of England, she helped people all over the world. She was known as the ambassador for human kindness and love. She helped people all over the world and had connections to over 50 charities. She was devoted to each and every one of them. She traveled to Cambodia, Afghanistan and Honduras to care for victims of landmines. She traveled to Africa and Asia to help with the Leprosy Mission. She was everywhere. Her good deeds are still being carried out in her name by the many missions that she started.

Princess Diana was a true people’s princess. She lived her life helping others. However, she didn’t just help them, she loved them. She wanted to know everything first hand. She wasn’t afraid to experience what other people lived. She visited landmines, hospitals and orphanages. She was never afraid to get close to a sick person. She left her love and heart with the people she visited. Princess Diana had a heart of gold.
