In this mural, we tried to express the misery of war and the importance of peace.
As a classroom, we have learned to appreciate non-nuclear peace by visiting the sites of the Nagasaki and Hiroshima atomic bombs.
The most impressive scene was the Atomic Bomb Dome.
There, we strongly realized how cruel the past war was and how precious it is to lead a normal daily life.
It seems that Mankind has always been at war. Even now, wars and conflicts rage across the planet.
Why can't we stop the fighting? Why can't we put an end to war?
We poured into every corner of this canvas our INORI, prayers for world peace; that the time will come when we will stop hurting each other, that someday soon, we can all live in harmony.
May your hearts be touched not only by the tears we shed and sorrow we felt in the Atomic Bomb Dome but by the reverence it inspired in all of us for the preciousness of life.
