Reading in the Garden

This is an oil painting of my daughter and me on Easter Sunday in my sister's
garden reading an art book. As a single Mom I often read to my little girl
and we both enjoyed many wonderful books and our reading times together.
They are truly fond memories. I finally wrote and illustrated my own children's book,
"Let's Sail Away" and dedicated it to my daughter.
I have always loved this painting and, interestingly enough, a collector of
mine fell in love with it when he first saw it.
