My hero is Abraham Lincoln. He is on the penny and the 5 dollar bill. He wrote the Emancipation Proclamation. This document stated all slaves were free. He also was the 16th president of the United States. He was mainly self-educated and came from a poor family. He was a country lawyer. Lincoln was so important to our nation we made a monument in Washington D.C in his honor.
