My hero is Dale Earnhardt Jr. He was born in October 10, 1974 in Concord NC but he resides in Mooresville NC. He is not married and does not have any children. His dad is Dale Earnhardt Sr. He is a professional nascar racer too. His grandfather was a nascar racer just like Dale Sr. Dale has 7 pets: two dogs, two cats and three cows.
Dale Jr. started racer go carts when he was 8 years old. He started racing in bush when he was 17. He won his first bush cup at age 19. When he was 20 he started nascar. His car number was 8, his grandfather's number.
In 2001 he and his father raced in the same race when his father was killed. Dale Jr. finished in second, his teammate finished in first. After the race they told him about his father's wreck. It was a bad year for Dale Jr. in 2001.
Dale was kicked out of his father's own racing crew. His new number is 88. One race for the navy, Dale raced in a navy car. His number was still 88 but his car was white and had a big NAVY on the side. He raced for the Navy car for a while. Then one day he was not racing navy car. He was racing a number 5 national guard car. Now that's what he races, a car with NATIONGUARD in big letters but now its number 88.
I would want to see him race. He's my hero because after his father's death he still does the thing he loves. He never quits, he's still on his A-game when he races. Now he's ready to be as good as his father and grandfather.
