Albert Einstein was born in 1879 and died in 1955. Throughout his life, he lived in many places including Germany, Italy, The United States and Switzerland, where he published the Theory of Relativity.

Einstein is one of the best-known scientists of the 20th century. Although he was not one of the best students, he was outstanding in mathematics and physics, but he disliked doing what he was told. In fact, he left school early because he did not like exams and neither did he like attending classes.

Despite failing the entrance exam, Einstein was admitted to the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich in 1896 where he did fairly well as a student. Due to his extreme laziness, he did not manage to get a job in the university. Instead, he taught mathematics and physics in a secondary school.

Some years later, in 1902, Einstein got a job at the Swiss patent office in Bern. In 1905, his special theory of relativity was published - one of the greatest intellectual achievements in the history of human thought.
