Bill Fenical

There are many definitions of what a hero is to all kinds of different people. To me a hero could be anyone that you want it to be. A role model, a scientist, or someone you look up to. My hero is Bill Fenical. Bill Fenical is an overall well rounded person and is an amazing scientist. He is looking for many cures to cure diseases like cancer. He uses the ocean and the numerous living things in it to find organisms that will fight these diseases. He has had many obstacles, made various achievements, and made numerous contributions in his field while finding and developing cures that he hopes to find.

Bill Fenical has overcome loads of obstacles while researching, making, and finding new discoveries. First he is looking for new places to find the cures he is looking for. Also, it takes a long time to find a potential subject that can make the cure. In addition, even when he finds a potential subjects, he won’t know if it is the right one. Furthermore even if progress is made it could take months or even years to perfect. In conclusion, Bill Fenical currently has countless obstacles in his way that stop him from achieving his goals.

Bill Fenical has made many achievements in his field. He has a B.S. in biochemistry that he received from California State University. That is a Bachelors degree in science. He also received an M.S., which is a master’s degree in science, from San Jose State University. Next he received his PhD or a, doctors degree, from the University of California. Furthermore he is a director of marine research where he works. In conclusion, Bill Fenical made a numerous amount of achievements.

Bill Fenical has also made loads of contributions to finding the cures to diseases he wishes to find. To start, he has discovered and identified 15 entirely new genres of organisms in the ocean never before known. Next he is currently developing two new drugs that he created that are going under trial and error. The two of them are SalA and NPl-0058. Another contribution he made is that he now has many potential organisms that one day can be the cure to cancer. Last, in his lab there are compounds you can see eating away at cancer cells. In conclusion Bill Fenical has made a lot of contributions to finding the cures he wants to find.

Bill Fenical is an outstanding person to me. He has done that in many ways. I believe he is an amazing scientist and an overall well rounded person. I also believe he will find the cures that he is looking for. From the progress he made, his many contributions, even with his numerous obstacles, he is just an outstanding person
