A hero is someone who sets a good example, and who has done something good and worthy of announcement. A person can be a hero by doing charity work, and doing work for others that need help. Another way a person can be a hero is they never give up that is what Bethany Hamilton has done. They set a good example for everyone else and maybe it could change people’s perspective on things.

Bethany Hamilton is a surfer. She lives in Hawaii. On October 31, 2003 she got into a shark attach. It was a 14 foot long tiger shark. It had eaten her arm. She fought before it actually got her arm but luckily she was still alive. She was determined to keep on surfing even though she had one arm. That shows me she is a good role model and she strives for what she wants, this could rub off on America by hearing her story.

She has made a difference in my life and many others by being so grateful she’s alive after the attack. She makes a good influence on America and the world. She tells everyone not to give up. To keep on going, even after a tragedy. Strive for your dreams and they will come true.

Bethany Hamilton is a great hero. She makes a great role model. She strives for her dreams and doesn’t give up. She is still a great surfer after the attack and will always be. She is super woman just for surviving.
