My hero is Clara Hale. She is special to me because she is a foster mother. She helped her community by caring for infants who nobody wanted to care for. Clara took care of babies who had drug addicted mothers, and Clara also took babies with a disease called AIDS. She took care of more than 500 babies in 25 years. Something she has said is “You can, you know you can - I know you can!”

Clara Hale passed away in 1993.
