Aviation

By: Shelby Luster

When I hear the word Aviation I think of my role model Bessie Coleman. She was the first black women to fly around the world. She was born in Atlanta ,Texas .When she got older she wanted to be an Aviation pilot ,but at that time she could not go to school for it because of segregation. So she had learn French and go to France to go to school and get her pilot license .After she received it she came back. She earned enough money to start a flight school but she died before she could start it. Today we know Bessie Coleman for being brave and being the first black woman to fly around the world.
