Greig Coates

My father, Greig Coates, is not a person that is on the news every day, yet he is a hero to many people and to me. I have chosen my father to be my hero because he has made a difference in many lives and mine.

Greig Coates was born in Boston, Massachusetts on February 10. He lives in Austin, Texas with my mom, my brother and sister. My dad wanted to become a lawyer, and so he attended both the University of Texas to get his law degree and Texas A&M to follow his dreams. He graduated and is now a malpractice lawyer. In the year of 1988 he married my mom, Kim Coates. His hobbies are hanging with his kids. One of his main goals in life is to raise an awesome family.

One thing that I admire about my dad is that he dedicates so much of his time to his family. He drives me to my sports meets and always encourages me to do my best. He is always the one who is the most proud of me when I get my gold medal. When I am sad my dad always cheers me up and makes me smile.

My father, Greig Coates, is a hero because he is a person that has made a difference in many lives and mine because he has always been there for me and my entire family. That is why I chose my father, Greig Coates, to be my hero.
