My hero inspires me to write my essays and stories in school with lots of voice and excitement.Her books set an example so I can write even better. But that is not the real reason she is my hero. Erin Hunter is my hero because of her wonderful books. Her books are very exciting, with lots of fights, hunting and exploration. With antogonists on every side, her characters face many dangers, including storms and surprise attacks. Fire is also a big danger to them, as they can catch cats who live in the forest by surprise....and then they can die of smoke or be burned up. Because of all the adventures, whenever I read any of her books, from the start of her first sentence, I am no longer in the room. I am in the forest, experiencing the adventures the wild cats have.

Something very interesting about Erin Hunter is that her name is a fake. Actually, Erin Hunter is two people, Cherith Baldry and Kate Cary. Cherith and Kate take turns writing the Warrior series, but they are so good at writing, it really seems like one writer. They created the name Erin Hunter because they didn't want poeple to get confused (They didn't want books of the same series put in different places).

Cherith Baldry grew up in a farm with cats "all over the place." Even though the cats were "loners," the cats had a "kittypet" streak in them. Her first cat, as a married adult, was a part Siamese and African bush cat. He was a very friendly cat, as he was always climbing around and purring. Currently, she lives with two cats- Bramble and Sorrel. They are put in some books in the warrior series as Brambleclaw and Sorreltail. Under those names, the cats have tons of adventure in the wild world.

Kate Cary got her first cat when she was six years old. The cat always followed her around, waiting for a chance to sit on her lap. She was one of the many cats Kate would befriend in the years to come. A black cat at the university she went to befriended her, and he would go to sleep on her bed. Now, she lives with her son with three cats. Willow, Flower, and Miu-Miu rule the household in their own cat ways.

(I will be calling the two wonderful writers Erin Hunter)I think Erin Hunter's books are so wonderful because she has a great love of cats and the ferocity of the world. Also, she has a interest in astrology and standingstones, so there are medicine cats in all four cat clans, that search for signs sent by the mysterious StarClan (the warrior's cat ancestors...and cats who have died from the dangers of the forests or attacks from the other clans). Her respect for nature allows her books to have great descriptions of the outside world. Towering mountains, rushing rivers, gigantic trees, and huge monsters(cars) all come together, as you can picture the places as you read.

Erin Hunter inspires me to do tons of things I couldn't do before. Her books are the best, higher then any others. With her books continuing on and on, she always sets an example for everyone who reads her books. Erin Hunter is truly a hero.... an inspiring writer hero whose works are stupendous.
