She was born on 3 April 1985 in London. She was born to Aural Josiah, a worker from Guyana, and Maria Lewis, a social worker from Wales. At the age of 12, she wrote her first full-length song, and she won a number of music awards. She finished high school in London. Leona started to sing when she was 15 years old. She lives in Hackney with her boyfriend, an electrician. She does not have any children, but she would like to have them one day.

She has won many awards at Christmas parties and music competitions. Leona has been a vegetarian since she was 12, and she was also named PETA's Person Of The Year 2008. She is a supporter of the World Society for the Protection of Animals.

She is very popular around the world. Her most popular songs are Keep Bleeding Love, Better in Time, Homeless, Here I am, I'm you, I will be... Leona has sold over 14 million CDs.

She is my hero because I love her songs which are very sad and romantic at the same time. I also like her because she is very pretty and attractive.
