Paul Revere

by Mark from Laguna Beach

Paul Revere is my hero. Paul Revere was probably born on January 1, 1735 and he died when he was 83 years old. Paul Revere had two wives and had sixteen children. He was educated in a North Grammar School in Boston. Paul was a silversmith and a craftsman, he made a lot of teapots. Paul Revere and his friends made a group called the Sons of Liberty. The group leaders are Joseph Warren, Samuel Adams, and John Hancock.

Paul Revere lived in Boston, Massachussets, a colony of great Britain. Paul Revere helped the patriot cause by warning John Hancock, Samuel Adams and the people in Lexington and Concord that the British were going to attack them. He had ridden on his horse to Lexington and Concord to warn everyone. This was Paul Revere's midnight ride. William Dawes and Dr. Samuel Prescott were also in the midnight ride.

These actions occurred on April 18, 1775 in Lexington and Concord. Paul Revere risked his life to help the patriot cause because he was a true hero and wanted to help people. On April 19, the Minutemen were waiting for the British.

Revere's actions are heroic because he risked his life to help warn people that the British were going to attack. He has impacted my life by helping the patriot cause and participating in the Boston Tea Party. His part in the Boston Tea Party was to throw the crates of tea in the harbor. This Boston Tea Party was on December 16, 1773. He was a great man.

I picked Paul Revere for my revolutionary hero because he helped defeat the British. He was very heroic and I think there should be a day named after him. That is why I picked him.
