The hero that I am researching is Selena Gomez. A hero is someone who puts other people before themselves. Selena also does things for kids with UNICEF. Selena has five rescue dogs that are living with her. She does things on TV with kids called Friends For Change on the Disney Channel. Selena Marie Gomez was born on July 22, 1992 in Grand Prairie, Texas. Her mom and dad were divorced when Selena was five years old. Then she was raised as an only child. Selena started acting when she was seven years old in the T.V show Barney and Friends. Selena was home schooled when she earned her high school diploma in May, 2010.

Selena is a hero because of all the loving things she has done. She loves having dogs in her house. Selena is an owner of five rescue dogs. She states that she is an animal lover. Her mom thinks she is going crazy with all the dogs in her house. I think she will have to buy a lot of food.

Selena has accomplished many things. She played in a Disney television show called Wizards of Waverly Place. She played in movies like Ramona and Beezus. Some of my favorite songs that she sings are “Round & Round”, “Naturally”,” and “Magic”. Selena is a really good singer because she has lots of songs on CD’s already. Selena has thirteen songs out in stores.

Selena is doing many things for kids that live in bad places in the world. Last year Selena was appointed as an Ambassador with the United Nations Children’s Fund. UNICEF was created in 1946. Selena led UNICEF’S Trick-or –Treating with kids. When kids go trick or treating they ask for donations and put it in a little box. The money collected is given to UNICEF to buy people food or water. Selena also does things for Friends For Change. That is when you help save your environment. She encourages people to reduce and recycle. That means you can stop using plastic bottles and use reusable bottles.

Selena Gomez is a hero because she is not only a great singer, but she does a lot of things to help people and other children. I think she is a good role model for other people in this world. If Selena Gomez can do things for other people, I think that is a real good hero.
