Jesus

This is Jesus my hero. (I drew it.)

My hero is Jesus. He lived in Bethlehem with his mother and Joseph the carpenter. He was 33 years old when he was crucified on the cross.

He was born in a stable and he slept in a crib made of hay. Within three years of teaching in Israel, Jesus had begun to make a lot of enemies that had power in Jerusalem. He made the blind see and the deaf hear. Jesus went everywhere and told the stories about how God loved us. He performed many miracles in his life for other people so they would be happy. He will forgive us for whatever we do. Some people thought he was a prophet and a couple people thought he was a madman.

After his trial, Jesus was put to death on a wooden cross. This was called crucifixion, a painful way of punishment that the Romans thought of. Jesus was nailed on a cross for us and even though he knew what was coming he still died for us. When Jesus’ body was gone from out of the tomb, after having been buried for three days, that made many more believers and it was said that Jesus had risen from the dead.

Jesus is my hero because he taught us how to live better lives. He was crucified for us so we could live forever in heaven with him and with God. He gave his life for us so we could be forgiven from our sins. That’s why Jesus is my hero.
