Lucy Maud Montgomery was born on November 30, 1874. She is a hero because she made people aware of Prince Edward Island through her writing. Lucy wrote 22 books, including Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Avonlea. Lucy lived with her grandparents after her mother died. When she was 16 years old, she rejoined her father and his wife.
She also attended Teachers College. Instead of having friends, she made up one and talked to plants. She wrote 450 poems and 500 short stories. I like this hero because of her books.
