Valerie Mesch

People all have a hero in their lives and stories to tell about their heroes that make those people heroes. My personal hero is a women named Valerie Mesch. She is an angel sent from God to watch over me and make me the most incredible person I can be. I never realized how much of a hero she was until November 1, 2005, when doctors called my house and informed me that I, the average teenager, had cancer. Valerie came to the hospital with me every time for the next nine months. Every tear that came out of my scared eyes she wiped. Every time I laid draped over the toilet, she pulled my dead body up. Valerie Mesch is 45 and lives in Colorado. She has three kids and a husband, but really she lives inside of me and others who know her. Valerie has made a difference in my life by showing me you can get over anything, no matter how big. Also, she has shown me how to enjoy life and that you only have one life, so you should make the most of it. Valerie Mesch is more than just my hero. She is my mother and I love her very much.
