Conservationist, naturalist and explorer, John Muir (1838 - 1914) was a well-written and outspoken advocate for conservancy.

Conservationist, naturalist and explorer, John Muir (1838 - 1914) was a well-written and outspoken advocate for conservancy. He and his supporters founded the Sierra Club in 1892 and his work had a lasting impact on President Theodore Roosevelt, who undertook a wide range of conservation programs for America.
