कोविड के पहले...

उदयपुर के तरपाल गांव में आंगनवाड़ी दीदियाँ हर दिन ज़िम्मीदारी से अपने गाँव में रहने वाले बच्चे और महिलाओं के घर जाते थे, उनकी मदद करने और यह देखने कि क्या वे स्वस्थ हैं। लेकिन जब कोविड फ़ैल गया, तो गांव में इन गतिविधियों पर विराम लग गया। 

कैसे कोविड महामारी ने उनके जीवन को बदल दिया

आंगनवाड़ी केंद्र के बंद होने से इंदिरा जी के दैनिक जीवन बदल गया। वायरस फ़ैलते ही गया और गांव में हालात और खराब होने लगे, पर एक सच्चे नायक की तरह उन्हें अपने लिए नहीं बल्कि दूसरों की चिंता थी।

कुछ समय बाद, आंगनवाड़ी दीदियों को कोविड-१९ के खिलाफ लड़ाई में शामिल होने के लिए कहा गया। महामारी से निपटने के लिए उन्हें अपने गांवों के दूर-दराज क्षेत्रों तक मदद के लिए पहुंचना पड़ा।हालाँकि इंदिरा जी काम पर वापस जाने के लिए उत्साहित थीं, किंतु उनके परिवार ने उनके बाहर जाने का विरोध किया क्योकिं वायरस पहले से से ज़्यादा और भी तेजी से फ़ैल रहा था। लेकिन एक असली नायक की तरह वह बाहर जाने को तैयार थीं। यह सोच बिलकुल नायक के जैसी हैं क्योकिं वह जानती हैं कि भले ही वह बीमारी को मिटा नहीं सकती, किंतु वह स्थिति को बेहतर बनाने की कोशिश तो कर ही सकती हैं। 

इसीलिए इंदिरा जी कोविड और इस वायरस से सुरक्षित रहने के लिए क्या कदम लेने चाहिए इस बारे में जागरूकता पैदा करने के लिए लोगों से बात करने गयीं। उन्होंने स्वास्थ्य, पोषण, और कोविड-१९ से सम्बंधित विषय पर चर्चा की।

उनका प्रभाव

मुझे लगता है कि जब गांव के सदस्यों ने इंदिरा जी के समर्पण को देखा, और जिस तरह से वे लोगों को जागरूक करने के लिए आगे बढ़ रहीं थी, वे अवश्य ही प्रेरित हुए। उन्होंने खुद भी बोला की सदस्यों ने उन पर अधिक भरोसा किया और अपने घरों में दीदियों का स्वागत फिर से करने लगे। 

आज तक, इंदिरा जी अपने गांव की एक निडर महिला के रूप में जानी जाती हैं, जो सभी के स्वास्थ के लिए महामारी के बीच लड़ती रहीं । मेरे हिसाब से एक आंगनवाड़ी कार्यकर्ता होने के नाते इसे एक गर्व की बात माना जाना चाहिए। इंदिरा जी की तरह, कई वीर महिलाएं हैं जो नि:स्वार्थ भाव से अपने समाज के लोगों की सेवा कर रही हैं।

Before Covid

In Udaipur's Tarpal village, Anganwadi didis used to responsibly visit the homes of children and women living in their villages every day, to help them and see if they were healthy. But when the Covid spread, these activities came to a halt in the village.

How the covid pandemic changed her life

The closure of the Anganwadi center changed the daily life of Indira ji. As the virus spread and the situation in the village started getting worse, but like a true hero, she was concerned not for herself but for others.

After some time, Anganwadi didis were asked to join the fight against COVID-19. They had to reach out to remote areas of their villages for help to deal with the pandemic. Although Indira ji was excited to go back to work, her family opposed her going out as the virus had already spread.

Their influence

I think when the members of the village saw the dedication of Indira ji, and the way she was moving to make people aware, they were definitely inspired. She also said that the members trusted her more and started welcoming the didis back into their homes again.

Till date, Indira ji is known as a fearless woman of her village who fought for the health of all amid the pandemic. According to me, being an Anganwadi worker, it should be considered as a matter of pride. Indira ji's
