Hayden Panettiere

A hero is a person people look up to. Someone that did something amazing to help the world. Anyone could be a hero as long as they do something generous. For my essay I chose a girl who isn’t only a television star on Heroes, she did something helpful for our planet, and not for the fame. Hayden Panettiere is a hero because she took time out of her great life to help the dolphins in Japan. Even though she was about to get arrested, some people from Japan helped her to the airport before she could be arrested.

Fishermen in Japan were counting dolphins as just plain old fish. Since they were just fish they thought they could capture them and kill them for food! Hayden knew that was wrong so she did whatever she could to help save the dolphins. One day Hayden got on a surfboard and she road out to sea, just to save the dolphins that were about to be killed by fishermen. That was very brave of her and it shows how much she cares about our earth and our animals.

Hayden later went back to Tiji, Japan to save more dolphins. Over 22,000 dolphins are killed by fisherman in Japan. We can’t let these dolphins become extinct, and that’s why Hayden is helping with that cause. Hayden is only 18 and she is doing all this to help the dolphins. Hayden Panettiere won “Compassion in Action Awards” from the animal rights group, PETA, for her efforts in trying to stop dolphins from getting killed.

Hayden Panettiere has also done some other good stuff for the world. One day I was reading a magazine and I opened the page to see Hayden and an article about internet safety. It was about little girls and how they were getting killed from meeting people online. That means that she was trying to save people’s lives. Another thing is since she is such an animal lover, she is a vegetarian. Also, she is trying to stop hunts for whales. Hayden also joined a bowl for charity.

Hayden Panettiere has always been my role model since I first heard about her. She was in a lot of my favorite movies. I have never heard about her doing anything bad to ruin her reputation. I look up to her because I know she will never do anything wrong. She is just a famous person who takes her fame for granted and helps the world. She is just like her character on Heroes, she saves the world. Hayden Panettiere is a good hero to look up to and a well known person who will help the world.
