On June 12, in Frankfurt, Germany, Anne Frank was born. In 1933 the Franks moved to Amsterdam, Holland to be safe from the Germans. Now the Second World War began in 1939. On May 10, 1940, the German army invaded Holland. On May 12, 1942, Anne got a book with blank pages. She made it her diary and named it Kitty. On July 6, 1942, the Franks went into hiding with other people. In 1944, the Frank family were arrested. on September 3, Anne and the others were sent to Auschwitz. In October Anne and her sister Margot were sent to Bergen-Belson. In late February or early March, Anne died in Bergen-Belson. In 1947, "The Diary of Anne Frank" was first published.
