Albert Einstien

by Mark from San Diego

The most important inventions are the ones that expand how one thinks. Many scientists had dreamed of being famous for their discoveries that would change the world, but only one would pave the road for many to follow. Albert Einstein was a German-American physicist whose family wasn't to wealthy, he didn't do good in school and tried to stay with his family at a young age, but as he grew drifted away from them to focus on his studies. The 2 most renown things that he is known for is his famous equation E = mc2, and his work on the atomic bomb in the Manhattan project. He was born in Ulm Germany and died in Princeton New Jersey. He fled Germany in the 1930's and came to America. 1897 he was born, 1955 he died. 1939 started work on the atomic bomb. He became an American citizen in 1940. In Order to be hero one must possess the traits of selflessness and have experienced hardships, and successfully pass through them. Displaying selflessness could be one giving something up that they need or helping others instead of just helping themselves. Going through hardship would be experiencing things normal people wouldn't have to go through and makes them stronger by passing those hardships giving them more experience. Albert Einstein is a hero because he demonstrates the traits of selflessness, and going through hardships.

Albert Einstein displays selflessness through his many works helping thousands if not millions of people. Einstein finished his time at college and went off on his studies and came up with his most famous work, Albert Einstein discovered the formula E = mc2. This formula may now be the expression for which Einstein is best known among nonscientists. This shows that he is selfless, because he came up with a formula that helps people and is still being used today as a tool to find new things in the universe. After Einstein immigrated to the U.S. he started working for the U.S. army. He worked on the Manhattan Project during world war II, this project showed his selflessness by showing that he was willing to work on something to end WWII and save countless amounts of lives. Einstein showed his selflessness by helping many other people other than himself.

Einstein had to go through many hardships that others would not have to go through. Einstein had many problems that he had to overcome as a child. "He couldn't talk until he was three, and for a number of years after that he still had trouble speaking fluently. In elementary school his performance was dismal at best, leading some people (including his parents) to suspect that he was retarded. From the time he was a small child, however, Albert preferred to learn on his own; in his early teens he taught himself advanced mathematics and science. He followed this pattern of independent study throughout the rest of his life."( GreenLight LLC). This shows the hardships he had to go through because he had to teach himself, and had no one who believed in him because everybody thought that he was retarded. Einstein had to go through many other problems that many don't have to go through. "Einstein immigrated to the United States in the autumn of 1933."( Detroit: Gale). This shows the hardships he had to face, unlike a normal person who was born in the U.S. or got the privilege to come to the U.S. he did not, he had to immigrate to the U.S. showing the hardship of how he came to a better place to help more people. Einstein went through many more hardships than others giving him the experience others didn't have.

Due to Einstein displaying selflessness, and going through hardships he has demonstrated that he is a deserving hero. Einstein went through many problems not many others can even say they have experienced and he helped countless others unlike many other people who say they do but only end up helping themselves. He is an inspiration because he helped people solve problems all around the world with his conclusions and went through many hardships, that people don't truly know, in order to help people and show how things can start rough but can end greatly. If more people could care more about others than themselves the U.S. could become a more successful place.
