Albert Einstein

"The important thing is not to stop questioning."

Do you know who was one of the best scientists in Europe at 17? Born on March 14, 1879, in the small town of Ulm, Germany. Einstein was first child of a Jewish couple. His mother’s name was Pauline and his sister’s name was Maja. Einstein was a late speaker, he began to speak at 2-3 years old. At 5 years old, he got violin for birthday present and he studied violin very hard. He liked geometry in childhood. He studied geometry at 12. In the school, he was talented in math and his science was clear. He often cut classes to practice his violin or when he wanted to study by himself.

At 1895-1896, he successfully took his A-level. He finished school in 1900, in Switzerland. He wanted to be teacher but he couldn’t get a teaching job. He developed new science theories in 1905. He also got the Nobel prize in 1905. He discovered E=mc2, the famous equation, that means that energy and mass are different forms of the same thing. He also discovered the speed of light= 299,792,488 meters/second. But he was worried Hitler will take his science theories so he decided to ‘never step on Germany's ground’. But his family wanted to stay. So soon he divorced his wife and married his cousin, Elsa at 1917.

Although he lived 76 years, but he discovered many science theories and made our world better by coming up with many ideas. His ideas helped to get speed of light, way to invent new ways to control light, television cameras, remote control, flat screen-computers, laser light, CDs, DVDs and supermarket check-out equipment. This person is important to me because without his ideas, our life will be confusing and not comfortable, because he was very curious about science and came up with good ideas so I think he is very important to me. I think we have to be curious about something you want to know, do not give up with trying again and have new ideas to do something that is not discovered.
