A.J. Foyt, Jr. was born on January 16, 1935 in Houston, Texas in U.S.A. He is a married to Lucy since 1955 and has 4 children.

At the age of 18, he started to involve into racing midgets. By 21, he started his career in car racing (Sprint Car) () ()

He has to overcome the hardships by surviving three major crashes that caused serious injuries to him. On his fourth serious accident, he almost got killed. He earned his major accomplishments by holding the high career with the Indianapolis 500, Daytona 500, the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

A.J. Foyt, Jr. demonstrated heroism when he is smart driver, fearless when he hits 200 mph, and never gives up to win the championship. His behavior reflected these characteristics of a hero- brave for raced more than 350 races. He took risk by surviving 4 serious crashes where he had to recover. He worked so hard by racing for more than 36 years. He was smart by winning 67 out of 369 races. He knows how to win the race.

Now, he own A.J. Foyt Enterprises which has the teams in the different races format - CART, IRL, and NASCAR.
