"Despite everything, I believe that people are really good at heart."

This quote should give you an idea of what kind of person Anne Frank was, light and energetic. It must have been a struggle to not go mad from her life. Anne Frank was a Jewish girl hiding from the Nazis. She lived in a secret annex hidden behind a false bookcase that was really a door. Inside it was hot and cramped, and Anne Frank's family was not the only one who lived there. They shared the the house with neighbors. Anne Frank was hiding from the Axis Powers in Germany for almost 3 years. When the family was arrested and sent to concentration camps, Anne Frank left her diary at the house. Her dad was the only survivor in the family. After he was freed, he went back to the secret annex. There he found Anne's diary on the floor, undisturbed by time. He picked it up and began to read, "I hope I will be able to confide everything to you, as I have never been able to confide in anyone, and I hope you will be a great source of comfort and support." (Anne Frank in 1935)

Anne Frank's diary  gave Americans and other cultures, classes, and parties a new idea of the true story of what Hitler did. His attempts to take over the world were unsuccessful and they were stopped by the Allied Powers. Anne Frank continues to provide support for generations today and is a portal to World War II. Her diaries entries give students and adults eager to learn about this fascinating but horrible event a grand insight.

I picked Anne Frank as my hero because she remained brave through what I think is the most horrific event in world history. Also her diary is a key factor in the win of World War II. I, being very interested in this subject, think that from the point of view of a scholar, her diary provide a rich and detailed insight, since I am very interested in this field of literature and science. I have always held war strategy in the highest respect and until now i thought that to win a war you had to win on three planes, but now I realize that war is not about winning or killing zealots, you have to win over the economy, political office, and the war, but you also have to win the support of the people. Hitler didn't do that and he lost. If you don't think that this" people stuff" is true, take Egypt, for example, they overthrew their dictator because he did not do a good job of ruling.

To Anne Frank , my hero, I thank you for giving me such an in-depth story and teaching me that to win a war you have to win the people.
