Anne Frank is my hero because she had such bravery and courage. Even when she had nothing left she held on for as long as she could. This is the story of a young girl who lived a very treacherous life that no one should forever. Anne Frank was born on June 12, 1929 in Frankfurt, Germany. Her family consisted of her parents Otto and Edith Frank, and her sister Margot Frank. Anne’s life lasted from 1929-1944.

After Anne Frank died, her father was the only survivor from the Frank family. Anne Frank was a very sensible young woman when she went into hiding in an annex of her father’s office building. For two years Anne was not allowed to leave the annex or to speak for long hours. On August 4, 1944 an informer called the Gestapo (Nazi secret police) and told them there was a Jewish family living in an office building annex (Anne’s Family). That very night Anne and family were captured and sent to a concentration camp. After almost a year in around February or March Margot got ill and died. A few days later Anne also passed on.

From the Frank family the only survivor was Otto Frank, Anne and Margot’s father. Anne lived through some hard struggles; some were overcome but some were too great a price to pay. One of the few hardships was living in silence for two years in an office-building annex. At one point the Franks were ratted out by an informer, captured by the Nazis and sent to a concentration camp where lack of food and unlivable conditions took the best of Anne and most of her family. Some of Anne’s major accomplishments have been keeping her hopes up when everyone else’s hopes had disappeared. Another achievement would be being strong and holding on until the end to every whim she had left. An achievement which she accomplished, but was assisted with, was becoming a famous writer. Her journal was published into a book by her father. The journal had been saved by a family friend, Miep Gies.

I really admire Anne Frank because of her ability to be so mature and stay calm in such horrible conditions. A few other things I admire about Anne was her ability to understand the gravity of it all. Another thing I admire about her is that even though she was completely bored, she kept herself busy working on her studies: philosophy and science.

In conclusion Anne Frank is my hero. Anne Frank’s life began on June 12, 1929 and ended in March or February, 1944. She died at the age of 15. Anne died in the concentration camp, Bergen-Belsen. Anne has taught me that life is too short to be stressed over the little things because there are much bigger things in this world; so live it to the fullest!
