Ashrita Furman was born the 16th September 1954, in Brooklyn. He is a Guinness World Records record-breaker. He has set more than 600 records. And the record for the most records in the Guinness Book.
In 1970, Furmann became a devotee of the Sri Chinmoy Indian guru. Furman participated in a 24-hour bicycle race in 1978. With two weeks' training, Furman finished third. At this moment, Ashrita Furmann begin to want break records.
In 1978, Furmann realized this first official record with 27 000 jumping jacks. Ashrita has realized many more records. For example, in 2005, breaking record for the fastest mile on a kangaroo ball.
