A hero is a person with a longing to help or save others; they may have powers or they may not. This person has good values, morals, and typically has been through a lot in their life. A hero could be an everyday person with nothing special about them other than they are willing to do anything to help another. In fairytales a hero is often a knight in shining armor, but it could just as well be the lifelong friend that has always been there. Qualities are loyalty, honor, noble, and strength whether it’s physically or emotionally. Heroes are special because many people are unable to do anything for someone in need. A hero does things for the greater good not for themselves or their own needs. They are looked up to by those around them. My mom is my hero.

Furthermore good values and ethics are qualities my mom definitely has. She doesn’t drink nor do drugs like some parents out there. My mom does everything she can possibly do for my siblings and me. She is one of the few people who don’t put her problems on anyone else, though she is more than willing to listen to others. My mom calls herself “blunt but honest.” This has been true ever since I can remember, not only to me but to all of those she’s been around.

Continuing on, loyalty and honor, nobility, and strength are all characteristics of the determined woman. My mom never talks about other people’s business and never talks harshly of anyone. She helps others no matter how hard situations are for her family or herself. A quality I admire most about her is how she never stops moving forward, even when times are tough. She pushes through and finds a way to happiness, not only for her but for family and friends as well.

Overall April Marcel is looked up to by my siblings, other family members, neighbors, and me. She’s important to all of us for her strong emotional support, and many other qualities I do not have the space to name. Countless times she has been there for us and we all have the desire to do the same good deeds as she has done for all those around her. She is one of the most selfless people I have ever met. Everyone who has gotten the chance to meet her has become touched, inspired, motivated, and encouraged by her hard work, endless love, bravery, courage and most of all her desire to make the world a better place by spreading happiness and love.

April M. Gregory. That’s the name of a real living hero. A noble, true, honest, brave, strong person. Willing to do anything for the enlightening feeling of satisfaction received after helping another. I cannot name all the people she has helped or saved from troubling times. Occasionally she feels unappreciated and taken advantage of, but through all her hard times she grows and becomes stronger. This enables her to keep helping her family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, community, country, and strangers everywhere she goes. Thank you mom for being such a wonderful person, many people love you and believe right alongside me that you are a true hero.
