Alicia Keys

Alicia Keys was born on January 25 1981. Her mother is Irish , Italian and American but, her Dad is African American. She was only 14 when she started writing a song Butterfly'z but, she was still a normal girl. Alicia was seven when she got her first piano, also she started playing the piano.

She decided to quit college so she can pursue her dreams. She only did two years of college. After that it started to all fall in place. Columbia records offered her a singing career and she became famous.

Alicia was only 19 when she started singing. She was on Barney and Backyarkinz. She was also on Sesame Street and The Cosby Show.

She sold over 900,000 on her first album Songs in A minor. In her second album The diary of Alicia Keys sold over 610,000 in the first week. She won a total of 10 grammies.

She is a good singer also a awesome role model. She gives her money to charities and I love what she does for the world and she does not litter. She inspired me to sing and she has a nice strong voice.
