Abraham Lincoln

Abraham Lincoln was born February 12, 1809 and born in Hodgenville, Kentucky. He was president March 4, 1861 - April 15, 1865. He died April 15, 1865, Petersen House, Washington, D.C. He was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth. He married Mary Todd Lincoln. He was a civil rights leader, and he freed the slaves.

Abraham soon became a lawyer. Him and John were head to head, John won but soon was out of business and gave Abraham tips. Abraham thanked him and won the election. Soon Abraham planned his way to higher ground. The president stage, soon after people of America voted for Abraham and he became the president.

He married Mary Todd Lincoln. He fought for civil rights. Mr. Lincoln has been through alot in his life. He was a very brave man and bold to help the slaves be free, he wanted world peace but is that happening in the world today? Maybe not but it's better and that's why Abraham Lincoln is my hero.
