My hero is my mom. Mrs. Ann Maynard. I have known her all my life. My mom works at Abercorn Family Dentistry where she has a great job as a dentist. My hero lives in Savannah and she is very kind and gentle. She also shows compassion. My mom is my role model and my hero.

My hero is very compassionate. She is compassionate because when Hurricane Katrina hit she let all the Katrina patients get their teeth checked for free. She is also thoughtful. My mom is thoughtful because she always thinks of everyone else first. Also she goes to schools and other countries to check their teeth. I think my mom is filled with compassion.

I think my hero is not like the ancient Greek heroes. She is not like them because she does not dress up in armor and slay the Cyclopes or catch Cerberus. She also doesn’t have eternal life or special powers. She is not anything like the Greek heroes because they are greedy and only think of themselves. My mom has lots of compassion and love and I think every one should have that.
