My Hero
“A man distinguished by exceptional courage and nobility and strength, the principal character in a play or movie or novel or poem, champion: someone who fights for a cause, (classical mythology) a being of great strength and courage celebrated for bold exploits; often the offspring of a mortal and a god, bomber: a large sandwich made of a long crusty roll split lengthwise and filled with meats and cheese (and tomato and onion and lettuce and condiments); different names are used in different sections of the United States”.
Here you see some definitions of a hero from the Internet. Are they truthful? Do they really depict what a hero is? Or is there more to a hero than just a definition? I believe so. Not only does a hero have to be courageous but also he/she has to make a difference. That is why my dad is a hero.

Growing up my dad learned from his mistakes and not only did he learn the hard way, he had to learn by himself. “ Learning to never give up and do my best is something I had to find out myself”. He persevered through many troubles and has worked hard his whole life.
One of the most memorable things he has done is hitchhiking from Kansas City just to see my brother, my sister, and I. It was hard to understand really how committed he was and how much he loved us because of my age, but now I realize what he really means to me.
Making an impact on the world is one of the bigger sides of a hero. Since my father gave me the tools to get through life and to succeed, I consider him a hero. Now I can carry on the tools to my children and teach them how to succeed.
