To me, a hero is someone who does something that changes the world in some way. It can be as small as opening the door for someone, or as big as saving someone from death. One of the most common characteristics of a hero is courage. Alicia Silverstone has shown great courage in her acting career.
Alicia Silverstone has been acting since she was 15 years old, and she produced her first movie at 19. Since she started acting, she has been criticized for her weight. But that didn’t stop her. Alicia had ups and downs in her job for a couple of years, but after some hard work, she was back with a part in Blast from the Past. Another of Alicia's accomplishments is that she was an executive producer for the animated T.V. series Brace Face. She also starred on NBC’s comedy Miss Match.
In 2003, Alicia won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a musical or comedy.
She also won the National Board of Review Award in 1995, for Best Breakthrough Performer.
This actress’s acting career has been tough, but she loves it, and nothing is going to make her stop, and that shows great courage. Alicia probably doesn’t think of herself as a hero. She might say that she hasn’t done anything truly heroic, but she has. There are a lot of different heroes, and I hope when you hear the word hero, you think of Alicia Silverstone.
